Community Programs

Omega Fire Ministries Calgary Branch 2 is committed to building a strong, caring and Christ-centred community where people of every generation can grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, intellectually and practically. Our community programs create safe and meaningful spaces where children are nurtured, young people are equipped, Black youth are empowered, newcomers are supported, seniors are honoured and families are strengthened. Our approach is holistic. We combine biblical teaching and spiritual formation with mentorship, education, wellness, creativity, leadership development, settlement support, volunteer service and practical life skills. Through these programs, participants are encouraged not only to receive support, but also to discover their gifts, build confidence, serve others and contribute positively to the church and the wider community.

Children’s Development Programs

Youth and Young Adults Development Programs

Sound & Spirit
Hands-on development in music, worship, media, sound, livestreaming, photography, videography and digital creativity.

Seniors Development and Healthy Aging Programs
Fellowship, wellness, lifelong learning, mentorship, compassionate care, purposeful retirement and volunteer service.

Newcomer Integration and Empowerment Programs
Settlement guidance, employment readiness, English communication, digital literacy, family wellness, financial education and belonging.

Intergenerational and Family Connections
Shared activities that connect children, youth, adults and seniors through mentorship, prayer, meals, celebrations and service.

Community Outreach and Volunteer Service
Practical expressions of Christ’s love through outreach, hospitality, community projects, support and volunteer engagement.

Community Capacity and Creative Learning
Welcoming, well-equipped spaces and resources that strengthen learning, music, media, technology, leadership and community participation.

Our Community Impact

Through these programs, OFM Calgary Branch 2 is creating opportunities for people to learn, connect, serve and grow. Our work strengthens children’s development, equips youth and young adults with practical skills, develops Black youth leadership, supports newcomers, promotes healthy aging, reduces isolation, builds intergenerational relationships and expands volunteer-led community service.
