Community Programs

Omega Fire Ministries Calgary Branch 2 is committed to building a strong, caring and Christ-centred community where people of every generation can grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, intellectually and practically. Our community programs create safe and meaningful spaces where children are nurtured, young people are equipped, Black youth are empowered, newcomers are supported, seniors are honoured and families are strengthened. Our approach is holistic. We combine biblical teaching and spiritual formation with mentorship, education, wellness, creativity, leadership development, settlement support, volunteer service and practical life skills. Through these programs, participants are encouraged not only to receive support, but also to discover their gifts, build confidence, serve others and contribute positively to the church and the wider community.

Explore Our Programs

Our children’s programs provide a safe, joyful, and faith-filled environment where children can learn about God, build friendships, develop confidence, and participate in meaningful activities. We believe children are an important part of the church and the future of the community, and we are intentional about creating programs that nurture their spiritual, emotional, and social growth.

Through Children’s Church, children are taught Bible stories, moral values, prayer, worship, kindness, respect, service, and teamwork in a simple, engaging, and age-appropriate way. Our teachers and volunteers work to make each class interactive, welcoming, and memorable.

Children’s Programs

Our children’s activities include:

  • Children’s Church and Bible lessons

  • Scripture memory and Bible-based learning

  • Worship songs and children’s presentations

  • Creative activities, crafts, and game

  • Holiday and special event presentation

  • Family-friendly church programs

  • Community celebrations and outreach participation

  • Safe spaces for learning, friendship, and belonging

We also involve children in special church programs where they can sing, present, participate in games, and build confidence in front of others. These opportunities help them discover their gifts early and feel valued as part of the church community.
